I spent 14 years using my French press wrong and the foam told on me
Was at a friend's place last month and she asked why my plunger had so much resistance... I'd been pushing slow for 4 minutes instead of the standard 4 minute steep then one smooth press. Now my coffee actually has crema instead of that bitter sludge I blamed on the beans. Anyone else have a basic method flip for them after a decade?

My buddy did the same thing for years till his sister watched him press and laughed so hard she choked.
