Paid $85 for a fancy pour-over kettle, now it sits in the cabinet

I got caught up in a YouTube video about water flow control and bought this gooseneck kettle with a thermometer built in. Turns out my regular $20 stovetop pot pours just fine, and the fancy one takes longer to boil. I tried it for two weeks and gave up when I realized I was just making the same coffee. Anyone else got a gadget that looked great online but turned out to be a shelf warmer?
