Read that roasting at 400 degrees for 10 minutes kills 99% of bugs in green coffee beans. Blew my mind.

Was looking up storage tips on CoffeeGeek and found a study from 2019 that said most green beans have insect eggs or tiny bugs in them. I had no idea. Been buying green beans from a roaster in Portland for 2 years and never thought about it. Does anyone actually roast to kill bugs or just ignore it?

Ignore the study, never had an issue with it myself.

Has your sample size actually been bigger than like five people you know? I've seen plenty of folks deal with that issue first hand. A couple friends of mine had to switch products completely because of it.
