Roasted my first batch on a $20 popcorn popper in my garage

Last Sunday I used a Whirley Pop on my gas grill in Nashville and the beans came out 10 times better than the stale bag from the grocery store, has anyone else tried this without burning down their house?

I read that Whirley Pop roasts are the go to for a lot of people before they drop money on a real machine, so you're in good company. The key is to keep an eye on the smoke and maybe do it outside like you did, since the chaff gets everywhere. Sounds like a solid win over grocery beans, just watch the temps if it gets too hot.
