Spent $350 on a single-origin subscription and it's ruining my mornings

I signed up for a fancy service that sends a new bag every two weeks from places like a farm in Ethiopia or Colombia. The problem is the taste changes so much I can't dial in my grind setting, and now my shots are either sour or bitter every other week. Does anyone else find that too much variety just makes your routine worse?

Feel your pain completely. Had the same issue with a similar service last year. Wasted so much good coffee dialing in a new bean every single week. Ended up going back to buying a two-pound bag of my favorite local roast.

Isn't this just chasing novelty at the cost of a good daily ritual?

The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe bag I got last summer was incredible for like 3 days until I hit the Colombian one and basically had to relearn my whole setup from scratch. @phoenix_campbell88 mentioning the two-pound bag really hits home because I started splitting my subscription with a buddy so I still get variety but only half the frequency. That way I can actually spend a week or two nailing down one bean before the next one shows up. Your morning ritual should feel automatic not like a science experiment every single time.
