That week I pulled three perfect shots in a row on my Rancilio Silvia
I've had this machine for about 4 years and it's usually a battle with temperature surfing and grind consistency. Last Tuesday I managed to hit 25 seconds, 36 grams out, and it tasted like dark chocolate and cherry. Has anyone else had a spell where everything just clicks for a few days?

Oh man, that's the dream run right there. My buddy Dave has a Silvia and he went through this exact thing last fall. For like three straight days every shot he pulled was 30 seconds, 40 grams, with this syrupy texture that he still talks about. He posted a picture of his scale reading and his wife thought he was crazy for getting emotional over coffee. Then his grinder burrs went out of alignment and he was back to square one. Sounds like you caught the same kind of magic window, hope it sticks around a bit longer for you.
