Tried a pour over and hated it for years. My buddy's V60 setup convinced me last weekend

I always thought pour over coffee was way too weak and fussy. Then my friend Tim made me a cup with fresh beans and a proper gooseneck kettle on Sunday, and it actually tasted better than my espresso machine. Has anyone else been converted by a specific brewing method they used to hate?

Honestly though, is it really the pour over method you ended up liking, or is it just that the beans were way fresher than you were used to? @sarahh48 I've had this argument with a few coffee snob friends, and I still think pour over is more about technique than beans. Give me a solid drip machine with the same fresh beans and I bet I get a cleaner, more consistent cup every time without all the fuss. Your mileage may vary, but I've tried it enough times to know what works for me.
