3 months ago I lumped every campus speaker fight into one bucket, now I look up the actual invite letter first
Back in January I would just see a headline about a speaker getting shouted down at some school in Ohio and assume the whole crowd was against them, no digging needed. Then a friend who runs a student club at Kent State walked me through how the invite actually gets sent, who signs off, and how a 40 person protest can drown out a 300 person room on camera. How do you all decide when a speaker controversy is worth reading past the headline versus when it is just a loud minority getting the clip?
