Cancelling a speaker vs debating them, which actually protects students?
My campus banned a controversial pundit last fall while a nearby college let the same person speak and hosted a counter rally. Banning just turned him into a martyr, the debate got real pushback. Has anyone else seen the ban route backfire worse than letting them talk?
