My week got flipped when a dean at Ohio State canceled a speaker 90 minutes before doors opened
I had seats reserved for my whole club, 12 of us, for a talk on campus speech at Ohio State on a Tuesday. At 5:30 the dean's office emailed that it was off because of "safety concerns" with no other info, and a crowd of about 200 of us just stood outside the hall asking what happened. The student paper ran a piece the next morning saying the decision came from one admin with no vote and no written reason. Is this how it works at other schools, or do you get an actual explanation when a speaker gets pulled?
