One speaker got uninvited, the replacement changed my view on open forums
Our school had a big name activist scheduled for March. Got canned two days before over a tweet from 2019. They brought in a local professor instead, no name recognition. His talk was quieter but the Q&A got real. People stayed 40 minutes past the end. Makes me wonder if we focus too much on the big names and miss the useful talks right under us. Anyone else seen a last minute swap turn out better than the planned event?
