Paid $50 to see that Milo Yiannopoulos speech last year just to watch him get shut down after 10 minutes.

Wasted my cash on a ticket to some auditorium in Portland where the protesters drowned him out before he even got to his main points, and now I'm wondering if anybody else has dropped money on these campus circus events and regretted it?

Actually, Milo Yiannopoulos didn't get shut down in Portland last year - it was a different city where he had a similar issue. I only know because I followed the news about it pretty closely after a friend brought it up. Still, I get the frustration; paying full price for a half-baked event is a raw deal no matter where it happens.

My buddy spent $35 on tickets to see some comedian at the college in Eugene last fall, and the guy showed up half an hour late, told two jokes that bombed, then spent the rest of the time complaining about the sound system. Ended up being more of a rant than a show, and we all just sat there awkwardly sipping our overpriced sodas. He still brings it up every time someone mentions going to see live comedy.
