Pro tip: that one professor who told me to protest a speaker got me banned from the student union

Last semester at State U, my poli sci professor said I should crash a controversial speaker's event and yell during Q&A. I followed his advice and did it at a talk by a climate denial guy. Security kicked me out and now I'm on a no-entry list for the union building for 6 months. Has anyone else gotten bad advice from a prof that backfired this bad?

Six months for yelling at a climate denier is wild. Professors love to talk big from their office but never deal with the fallout. Hope you at least got a good story out of it.
