The week my campus hosted a white nationalist speaker and everything got messy

Last spring, my school invited a guy known for saying immigration ruins America. The protestors showed up on Monday, and by Wednesday the administration had moved his talk to a tiny room with no windows, saying it was for security. Then on Friday, the ACLU got involved and the school had to let him speak in the main hall with 300 people watching. I sat in the back and saw both sides yelling at each other, but honestly I just wanted to hear what he had to say before making up my mind. Did anyone else have a speaker come to their campus where the controversy actually changed how you thought about free speech?

Saw a similar thing at my school and it made me rethink letting any speech go uncensored.

Did you actually see this happen in person, @briancampbell? That must have been something to witness, I can't imagine just standing by and watching it unfold.
