Vent: blew 120 bucks on a ticket to see a speaker my college uninvited two hours before doors opened
I paid $120 for a ticket to hear a journalist talk at a school in Portland last month, and the admin pulled the plug two hours before it started. They said some students felt unsafe, which is wild because the whole point of the event was arguing about campus speech in the first place. Has anyone else eaten a ticket cost like that when a college backed out last minute, and did you get your money back?
