A guy at my shop called my pull list boring and made me rethink how I collect
I was at Emerald City Comics in Seattle 3 months ago and this dude behind the counter looked at my stack and just goes "man this is all Batman and X-Men, do you ever try anything new?" I got kinda defensive at first because who is this guy to judge, but then I looked at my shelf at home and realized 90% of my singles were Big Two books from the same 4 or 5 runs. So I started grabbing one indie book a month, just whatever looked weird, and now I'm pulling stuff like Department of Truth and Something is Killing the Children. Turns out I was stuck in a rut and didn't even see it, anyone else get called out like that and actually switch up their pull list?
