Drove 90 minutes to a shop in Garland for FCBD and the line was already around the block at 8am
I got up at 6 on Saturday to hit up Zeus Comics in Dallas for Free Comic Book Day, thinking I'd beat the crowd, but there were already like 40 people ahead of me by the time I parked. The shop only had 3 copies of the one book my kid wanted, and a guy two spots ahead of me grabbed the second to last one, so I ended up trading a spare Hellboy trade I brought along to a dude in line just to make it happen. Do you scope out multiple shops on FCBD or just gamble on one and hope for the best?

That sucks about your kid's book, glad the trade worked out though. Hit two shops last year and still struck out, seems like you just never know how it's gonna go.
