Finally got my friend to read her first comic, and she loved it

Three years ago, my friend Sarah in Tucson said she 'just didn't get' comics. Last month, she asked me for a recommendation after seeing a movie trailer. I gave her the first trade of Ms. Marvel. Last week, she texted me a picture of her holding volumes 2 and 3 from the bookstore. Said she couldn't put it down. Feels good to finally share this thing I love with someone who was totally closed off to it. What was the first book you gave to a friend that actually got them hooked?
