Found a cheap way to organize floppies using IKEA magazine files
I was drowning in my weekly pulls, so I grabbed a 5-pack of the KVISSLE magazine files from IKEA for like $8. They're the perfect height for standard comics, and I can label the spines with story arcs. My bookshelf looks way more organized now, and it saved me a ton compared to buying 'comic specific' boxes.

I've been using the KVISSLE files for my indie comics for about two years now. They're sturdy enough that I can stack them, and I use a label maker to tag arcs like 'Saga Vol. 1-3' on the spines. Actually, I tried those plastic comic boxes first, but they took up so much space in my apartment, and moving them was a nightmare. So switching to these magazine files was a game-changer for shelf organization, plus I can slide them out easily to pull specific issues without disturbing the whole row. It really does save money, and honestly, seeing everything lined up neatly kinda motivates me to actually read through my backlog.

Actually, my buddy tried to use bread clips as makeshift dividers for his floppies, but it was a disaster. He had them sorted by publisher, but the clips kept snapping under the weight. Ended up with a pile of unsorted comics on his floor for a week. He switched to something similar to your setup and now claims it's the only thing keeping his collection from becoming a fire hazard.

Those files can grind down the spines if you're not careful. Maybe add some padding to avoid ruining the artwork.
