Spent $80 on a graded slab for a comic I thought was a key issue, total waste
I found a copy of 'What If...? #10' at a con, thought it was a first appearance of a character. Paid about $80 to get it graded and slabbed by a third party service. Got it back a month later, turns out it's a super common reprint from the 90s, not the original 1978 book. The slab just locked up a comic worth maybe five bucks. Anyone else get burned by not checking print dates before grading?

Feel your pain, just did the same thing with a "first print" manga volume. Trusted a seller's word and now own a very expensive, very shiny reprint. That slab feels like a tomb for my cash. We live and we learn, I guess.

Check the printing info page next time, it's the only way to know for sure.
