Tried thermal paste the 'pea method' way for the first time in 8 years, dropped temps by 6 degrees on a 3700x at idle

I always used to spread it with a card but after watching a Gamers Nexus video last week I gave the pea a shot and got way better coverage when I pulled the cooler off to check, anyone else stubbornly stuck on an old method forever?

Right there with you, used the credit card method for years until I finally tried the pea. Night and day difference.
