Walked into a client's house last week and saw their old Pentium 4 tower still running
I was there to swap out a router, and there it was in the corner, humming along like it was 2003. The guy said it still runs his kid's old educational games and he hasn't touched it in 10 years. It made me think about how we used to spend hours tweaking IRQ settings and jumper pins just to get a sound card working. Now I walk in, plug in a USB drive, and everything just works. Any of you guys run into old builds still chugging along in the wild?

And that Pentium 4 is probably still more reliable than half the smart home stuff I install these days. Funny how we fought with hardware back then but it just kept working. Sometimes old tech is better because it never needs an update.
