An old foreman told me my broom finish was too aggressive on a garage pad in Phoenix
He said I was dragging too deep and actually watched me for three pours before I finally switched to a softer push broom, and now the surface holds up way better in the summer heat - has anyone else had to change their finish based on local climate feedback?

That's a great point about the climate feedback loop (Phoenix heat is brutal on concrete finishes). A softer broom makes a huge difference in preventing surface spalling when the sun bakes that slab every afternoon.
