Debate with my crew: is wet saw cutting faster or slower than snap cutting for 4-inch slab work?

I just read on the ACI forums that wet saws actually waste 15% more time on clean-up than snap cutting saves on placement, but my foreman swears by the wet saw for 20-yard pours over 200 feet, so which side are you on, been doing this 12 years and still split?

I've done enough slab work to know my opinion carries about as much weight as a chipped blade. Usually spend the first 10 minutes of the wet saw setup tripping over the hose anyway, so whatever time I think I'm saving I'm probably paying for in lost dignity. For a 4-inch slab over 200 feet, I'll still take the wet saw because my snap cuts end up looking like a drunk toddler drew the lines.

Try running the wet saw dry for that first cut, it saves the hose hassle and keeps the line clean.
