Dropped $80 on a power trowel blade last week and it was a total dud
I figured I'd treat myself to a fancy new blade for my walk-behind after my old one started leaving swirls. Got it from a supplier in Phoenix and first time out on a garage slab, it chattered like crazy. Tried everything: adjusting the pitch, changing my speed, even had my buddy take a turn. Ended up switching back to my old blade halfway through and finished the job fine. $80 down the drain for a blade that looked pretty but couldn't cut it. Anyone else get burned by a supposedly "upgraded" trowel blade?

Huh, that's a bummer for sure but $80 isn't exactly a fortune in the grand scheme of things. Sounds like you might've just got a dud from a bad batch, happens sometimes.

My old man bought a $120 level from Home Depot once and it was off by a 1/4 inch right out of the box, totally useless. Sometimes the fancy stuff is just junk with a higher price tag.
