Had to turn down a buddy's slab work over weak concrete plans

My friend wanted me to pour his shop floor with a lean mix to save cash. I knew it would fail fast, so I walked away from the job. How do you deal with friends asking for shady work?

I mean, sometimes a cheap floor is all someone needs. If he knows it won't last forever but just needs it done now, maybe you're being too strict. Could've just done the work he asked for.
