Honestly just poured my 1000th yard of concrete this morning

Tbh, I never kept track before, but my new boss had me log it for a project bid in Charlotte. Seeing that number on the ticket really hit me. It made me think about all the driveways and slabs over the last eight years. Anyone else ever get surprised by a number like that?

Wow, that's a crazy amount of concrete. Makes you realize how much work you've actually done.

Saw a thing online where a guy kept his first concrete ticket from 30 years ago. Framed it next to his thousandth yard ticket. Kinda cool, like @nancy_davis said, it shows the real weight of the work. Makes that number on your ticket mean more than just a bid.

Yeah that framing thing is exactly what I was gonna mention. Heard about it on a podcast once. Guy said it reminded him why he started in the first place.
