Just read that the Hoover Dam used over 3.25 million cubic yards of concrete
I was watching a history show last night and they dropped that number. It's wild to think about the scale and how they poured it all without modern gear. Has anyone here ever worked on a pour that even came close to feeling that big?

My buddy worked on a stadium pour. Said it felt endless.

Oh man, stadium pours are a whole different beast. My cousin did one and they had crews working in rotating waves nonstop for like 36 hours straight. It's not just a long day, it's a marathon where you can't stop the concrete from setting.

Doubt it was that bad, skylercooper. Concrete work is tough but they get breaks and shifts. Sounds like your buddy was just having a long day.
