Learned something new about curing concrete from an old manual I found

I picked up a 1987 manual from the American Concrete Institute at a garage sale last weekend. What surprised me was a detail about curing times in cooler weather. The manual said that at 50 degrees, concrete needs almost twice the wet curing time compared to 70 degrees. I always knew cold weather slowed things down, but I never realized the difference was that big. I checked it against some modern guides online and the numbers line up pretty close. Has anyone else run into old trade manuals that changed how they work?

Can't believe that. Double the curing time for a 20 degree difference sounds insane honestly. Must've cost folks a lot of money back then waiting around.
