My kid asked why we don't just pour the sidewalk like a pancake
I was explaining my day to my 5-year-old, and she looked at me real serious and said, 'Daddy, why don't you just pour it like a pancake and flip it over when it's done?'... I had to stop and think for a minute. I told her about forms and finishing, but her idea of a giant concrete pancake flipper really stuck with me. Ever have a simple question make you overthink the whole job?

Wait, you told her about forms and she still didn't buy it?

Maybe she just doesn't see the big deal, @hayden587. Forms aren't life or death.

You said "forms aren't life or death," but that's not really the point here. The thing is, if someone keeps dodging something that simple after you've explained it, it's usually a sign they don't respect your time or effort. It's less about the form itself and more about the total lack of follow-through.
