Paid $60 for a cheap power trowel blade, ended up saving my whole pour

I usually spend close to $150 on blades, but last Tuesday I grabbed a bargain set at a supply house outside of Denver. Figured it would burn me, but the finish came out cleaner and I didn't have to double back over a single section. The customer even said it was the flattest slab they'd walked on in years. Anyone else ever get lucky with the cheap stuff or was this just a one-off fluke?
