Pro tip: That $200 magnesium float I bought last fall is still sitting in my truck, brand new.
Got talked into it by a guy at the supply house who swore it would change my life on flatwork. Said it was lighter and gave a better finish than my old aluminum one. Thing is, I've been doing this 15 years and my method works fine. Every time I go to use it, I just grab the trusty old tool. Anyone else buy a piece of gear that you just never ended up using?

Sell that thing on a job site or online right now. Someone else will actually use it, and you'll get some cash back. Holding onto tools that don't work for you just creates clutter.

My old drill press sat unused for two years. I finally sold it on Marketplace last month and got eighty bucks. The space in my garage feels way better than that tool ever did.
