PSA: That weird hollow sound in a slab can ruin your whole day
Had a pour last week in Phoenix where a section just sounded hollow after we stripped the forms. Spent an hour trying to figure out if it was a honeycomb or just a void. Ended up drilling a small hole to check, then mixing a tiny batch of grout to pump in. The whole fix took about three hours when I thought it would be twenty minutes. What's your go-to method for checking a suspect spot without making a mess?

My last hollow slab in Dallas needed a whole bag of grout, which was a real pain.

That Dallas heat makes grout set way too fast.
