Rant: 22 years in and I finally counted my knee pads

I have been finishing concrete since 2002 and last week my wife made me clean out the truck bed, where I found a milk crate holding nine pairs of knee pads. Each one is blown out in the same spot on the left cap, which tells me I have been dragging that knee on every broom finish and every garage floor since I started. Do you all wear out one side faster than the other, or am I just setting my trowel down on that side without thinking?
