Shoutout to a simple spray trick for keeping edges wet
I was doing a patio job yesterday and the heat was crazy, like over 90 degrees. The concrete at the edges started to set way too fast, and I was stressing about getting a clean finish. Then I grabbed a plain spray bottle from my gear and misted the dry spots lightly. It bought me just enough time to trowel everything smooth without rushing. It dawned on me that I'd been overcomplicating things by trying fancy retardants when water works fine. Now I see that small adjustments can make a big difference in the outcome. I'll be using this trick from now on for sure. What do you guys do when the mix sets up too quick?

Try adding a bit of vinegar to that water next time.

Vinegar can actually etch some surfaces over time, making the problem worse.

Heard that a bit of vinegar in water can soften hard water stains. Old school trick my grandma used to swear by.
