That $900 concrete sealer I bought last spring - best or worst money I ever spent?
I dropped $900 on a gallon of SuperSeal 5000 for a 2,000 square foot driveway job in Austin last May. The stuff went on smooth and looked great for about three months, then started peeling in big patches where the sun hits hardest. Now I'm wondering if I should have gone with a cheaper acrylic sealer or if I just applied it wrong. Has anyone else had problems with high-end sealers failing in direct Texas sun?

Heard from a contractor buddy that those high-end sealers are too rigid for Texas heat, they basically cook and crack instead of flexing with the concrete. Might be more about picking the wrong type for your climate than the price tag.

Yeah that "cook and crack" thing, I had a sealer bubble up like bacon grease on my driveway last July.
