Vent: I was looking at some old concrete specs from the 70s my boss had in a file box.
They were still calling for a 3 inch slump on a lot of flatwork. I found that in a 1975 city code book he keeps around. How did they even finish that stuff, with a shovel?

Yeah, that's brutal. Dakota_king3 is right, basically pushing around wet gravel. Can't imagine trying to get a smooth finish on a sidewalk with that. My back hurts just thinking about the labor. Those old timers must have had forearms like iron from working that stuff all day.
