Wasted $900 on a bad concrete sealer job
Put down that expensive penetrating sealer from a big box store on a driveway in Phoenix. Looked great for two months. Then it started peeling like sunburn. Had to grind it all off and redo it. Lost a whole weekend and the product cost. Stick with the stuff from your local supply house, not the chain stores.

Phoenix sun is brutal on that stuff, I used to think any sealer would do. Made the same mistake last year with a big brand and it flaked off in patches by August. Now I only get the heavy duty stuff from the local supply yard.

Fr @emma768 the generic hardware store stuff is trash for AZ summers. The local yards carry the urethane based sealers that actually bond to the concrete instead of just sitting on top. I switched to a solvent based one from Tempe Supply last July and it's holding up way better through monsoon season and that relentless UV. You gotta prep the surface right too though, power wash it and let it dry a full 24 hours before you roll it on.
