A conspiracy theory disagreement cost me my forum leadership
I was a moderator for a group that talks about conspiracy theories. I said I didn't believe one, and the other moderators kicked me out. Do you think it's fair to remove people for having different opinions?

That's ridiculous, happened to me too in a gaming group. They can't handle any pushback at all.

I ran a D&D campaign for three years where I'd shut down any rules arguments. Thought it kept things smooth. Then a player quietly left because his cool character idea got vetoed without discussion. Made me realize I was just protecting my own control, not the group's fun. Now I try to hear people out, even if it means a five minute pause to check a rulebook.
