Did the moon look noticeably bigger to you around 2013 or did I just imagine that?

I swear the moon looked way bigger back in like 2012-2014. I remember sitting on my porch in Austin and it felt like you could almost touch it. Now when I look up it just looks normal size. My buddy says it's a psychological thing from old photos going viral, but another guy at work swears NASA changed something about how they process telescope images for public use. Has anyone else noticed this shift or am I just getting old and not paying attention?

Wait your coworker actually thinks NASA secretly changed how they process telescope images? That's a wilder conspiracy theory than I've heard in a while, and I've heard some doozies.
