Got called out for a fake moon landing debate and changed my whole approach

Tbh I used to argue with anyone about the moon landing being fake, I was that guy at parties. Then my buddy Mark who works at a planetarium told me to actually watch the raw footage from Apollo 11 instead of YouTube compilations. He said you'd see the dust movement and lighting in real time, not clipped to fit a narrative. I spent a Saturday watching the whole thing on NASA's site and honestly it just looked real. Has anyone else had a conspiracy theory fall apart once you looked at the primary source material?

Oh man, the Apollo 11 raw footage was the exact thing that got me too. Once I saw how the dust kicked up and fell back down in slow motion with no atmosphere, it clicked.

Watched that same footage and sat there rewinding it like five times. The way that dust plume just hangs there and then falls straight down with no wind to push it sideways. That's the kind of detail that makes you realize they weren't faking anything. I actually pulled up some old vacuum chamber tests they did before the mission to see if the dust would behave the same on Earth with no air. Spoiler alert - it doesn't.
