Had to pick between digging into the moon landing or JFK files for a project

For a college debate last month, I had to choose one deep dive topic and went with the JFK assassination files. I spent about 20 hours total on the Warren Commission vs. newer declassified stuff. Honestly, it got messy fast with all the witness accounts changing. My professor said my final argument was 'compelling but inconclusive,' which felt like a win. Anyone else get stuck down a rabbit hole with a specific conspiracy and find a good way to organize the facts?

Wait, you only spent 20 hours on all that?

The grassy knoll part got a laugh out of me, but 20 hours is still a solid chunk of time for research. I think it's more about how you use those hours than just the number itself. For example, if you spend too much time on rabbit trails instead of primary sources, you can still miss important details.

Only 20 hours? That's barely enough time to get properly paranoid about the grassy knoll.
