Heard a guy at the hardware store talking about chemtrails and it got me thinking
I was picking up some PVC glue last Saturday and this older dude was telling the cashier that the white lines in the sky are full of barium salts to control the weather. I didn't say anything but it got me googling later and now I'm down a rabbit hole about geoengineering programs from the 90s. There's a bunch of declassified military documents about weather modification, but does that really mean they're spraying us all the time? Anyone else hear something like this and wonder where the line is?

Ive seen that same fake study pop up on Facebook a few times from my uncle who swears by it. The thing is, I used to work at a machine shop that made parts for weather balloons and we had strict rules about what materials we could use, nothing exotic like barium. But the bigger pattern here is how easy it is to mix up real stuff the military did in the past with what random people claim is happening now. Like, yeah, the government tested cloud seeding in the 60s but thats a huge leap from saying every contrail is poison. I think people just want to feel like theyre in on some secret that others dont know.

Barium isn't actually in chemtrails, that came from a fake study that got debunked years ago.
