Hot take: the moon looks different to me now after 4 months of taking pics of it with my phone
I started shooting the moon every clear night back in April with my phone on a cheap tripod, just to see if it really looked the same. After about 4 months of stacking those shots in a free app, the craters near the edge stopped looking like random smudges and started lining up like a map, and that made me question why every official photo I grew up seeing has the same face pointed at us. If the moon is tidally locked, why do my own stacked shots show slight wobble that nobody ever mentions in the mainstream stuff?
