My carbon monoxide detector went off at 3am, turned out to be a dead battery
Woke up to that chirping sound and spent an hour opening windows before realizing it was just the low battery warning. Anyone else ever get tricked by that thing when you're half asleep?

My CO detector was a First Alert model and that low battery chirp got me too. I finally stuck a sticky note right on the thing that says "check the battery first" so I don't panic again. Did you ever figure out how long the battery actually lasts in yours?

Nah, those First Alert ones are actually supposed to chirp differently for low battery vs actual CO, it's like a quick chirp every minute versus a continuous beeping pattern. Pretty sure yours was just the battery warning from the start.
