Honestly, just nod and change the subject to pie. You cannot win a logic fight with someone who has decided a horse statue is sending secret messages.

24 years married and I still remember the Christmas my brother-in-law spent 45 minutes insisting his neighbor's garden gnome was a government surveillance drone. My wife just kept passing him more mashed potatoes and eventually asked if he preferred apple or cherry. It's the only way to survive these things, you just gotta steer them toward dessert and hope they get distracted. Some folks will argue about a horse statue's secret messages until the turkey gets cold if you let them. Pie really is the great equalizer at family gatherings, I swear.
