Rant: People keep mixing up the 'flat earth' and 'hollow earth' theories and it's driving me nuts

I was at a local meetup in Portland last week and heard three separate people argue that flat earthers believe we live inside the planet. That's the hollow earth theory, folks (they are not the same thing). One guy even cited a 2018 documentary as his source, which is wild because that film was specifically about the hollow earth idea. It matters because if you're gonna debate a conspiracy, at least get the basic premise right, you know? Has anyone else noticed this specific mix-up happening more often?

Portland meetups always attract the most confused folks, @jaden69.

Seen that mix-up a lot lately. People will talk about the flat earth map with the ice wall, then in the next breath mention inner suns and Agartha. Totally different ideas. The flat earth is supposed to be a plane, like a tabletop. Hollow earth is a whole hidden world inside the crust. Getting them confused just makes the whole conversation pointless.
