Spent $250 on a book about the JFK files and now I'm not sure what to think

I bought a detailed book that claimed to have new proof about the assassination, but after reading it and checking the official records online, a lot of the facts don't line up. The author seemed so sure, but I feel like I just paid for a fancy story. Has anyone else bought a book or report that changed their mind on a big theory, only to find it was mostly wrong?

Ugh, I wasted good money on a UFO book that fell apart the second I looked up the photos.
