Unpopular opinion: We get stuck on details in conspiracy debates

I was reading about the JFK shooting last night. Everyone argues over the magic bullet theory. But I think we miss the bigger picture. For instance, people spend hours on bullet trajectories. They ignore how hard it is to keep secrets. I saw a video where experts can't agree on the angles. It makes me question if we'll ever know the truth.

But what if all those messy details are the point? When experts fight over angles for decades, the confusion just drowns out the bigger questions. Maybe that's how the real story stays buried...

Check the details, they're where the secrets hide. Skipping them just helps keep the cover-up going.

Watching people gloss over the fine print in work manuals or product specs shows this pattern in action. The buried clause about data sharing or the weird overtime rule gets ignored because it's tedious. That exact boredom is what lets the questionable stuff keep running quiet.
