Watching a 2012 documentary on the Denver airport murals flipped my whole view
I always thought people who talked about the weird art there were just seeing things, but then I saw a close up of the gargoyle statue with the words 'New World Airport Commission' on it. That group doesn't exist, and the artist has never given a straight answer about it. It made me realize I was dismissing stuff just because it sounded crazy, without actually looking. Has anyone else dug into a specific detail from a place that made them stop and think?

I get what oliver_mitchell is saying about artists being weird sometimes, but the "New World Airport Commission" thing goes way beyond just someone being quirky. That name is too specific and made up to be a random joke, you know? It kind of forces you to wonder what the actual story is, even if it sounds nuts.
